💊 31.08.1909 — when poison became the cure.

Paul Ehrlich’s “magic bullet” (Salvarsan #606) became the first effective treatment for syphilis. 🧬

At the dawn of the 20th century, syphilis was one of the most feared diseases — untreatable, relentless, and devastating. Paul Ehrlich believed there had to be a “magic bullet”: a compound precise enough to destroy the pathogen without destroying the patient.

After more than 600 failed attempts, test number 606 revealed success. Arsphenamine, derived from arsenic, was toxic as an element but therapeutic as a molecule. A poison, transformed into the first targeted antimicrobial therapy in history.

It wasn’t just chemistry.

It was #alchemy âś¨ — turning poison into remedy, failure into triumph, and opening the path to what we now call chemotherapy.

That same principle drives #AIO and #LLMNutritionist today:

– Capturing signals too subtle for the naked eye 📡

– Translating them into meaningful knowledge 📚

– Returning them as insight to the world 🌍

Sometimes the cure hides inside the very substance we fear.

📚 Read history to understand the present.
