When is not choosing the smartest choice? ⚖️
The Incomode Question for the Weekend 🚪
We confuse delay with drift 🧭.
A Deliberate Non-Choice (D.N.C.) is a conscious decision to postpone one choice to preserve optionality until a defined signal appears 🧠.
Write it with three parts: what you’re not deciding yet (Scope), the exact review moment (Expiry), and the condition that unlocks the choice (Trigger).
Draft one D.N.C. today. Example: “Pause new reel format; review Tue 09:30; ship only if test CTR ≥ 1.2%.” Then calendarize the review.
Define one D.N.C. in 10 minutes.
